Don't be surprised if this radio looks familiar! The King KY-195B Dual COMM Transceiver is essentially a King KX-170B with two COMMs (instead of a NAV and a COMM). Like the KX-170B, this radio doesn't have any frills, but it does its job and does it well.
It uses dual mechanical frequency displays. The KY-195B can tune in two frequencies independently, and toggle back and forth between them. Essentially, this is a mechanical implementation of active / standby frequency flip-flop.
The KY-195B features:
- Dual 720 COMM channels
- 5 watts minimum power
- Automatic squelch
